Be enthralled in an evening of familiar Chinese classics such as The Butterfly Lovers, Reflection of the Moon on the Erquan Spring, Dance of the Yao People, Leaping Dragons and Crouching Tigers and Blossoms on a Spring Moonlit River .

Led by Cultural Medallion recipient, Mr Tay Teow Kiat, this concert features renowned pipa performer Hao Yi Fan from China, and local gaohu performer Wang Guiying, erhu performer Ling Hock Siang and percussion performer Quek Ling Kiong, in a rousing performance of ten of the most popular Chinese musical works ever composed.

Established since 1974, The Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts City Chinese Orchestra (formerly known as the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation Chinese Orchestra) is highly regarded in Singapore and other regions and has toured many parts of China such as Beijing and Jilin province’s Changchun city in June 2007.

我们将演奏许多动听、感人的经典作，如大乐队曲目《茉莉花》,《瑶族舞曲》,《十面埋伏》等。著名中国琵琶演奏家郝贻凡,和新加坡二胡演奏家王桂英，林傅强,郭令强也将与乐队呈献《春江花月夜》,《梁山伯与祝英台》，《二泉映月》和《龙腾虎跃》。

南洋艺术学院狮城华乐团的前身是新加坡广播局华乐团，成立于一九七四年，至今已整整三十三年。乐团音乐总监兼常任指挥郑朝吉先生，是1993年文化奖唯一得主，也是多次中国国际民乐比赛的评委。二零零七年六月, 他率领狮城华乐团到北京、吉林省长春演出, 获得了极大成功， 受到了中国音乐界的好评。
