《鼓吹狮城》 - 吹打音乐会
南洋艺术学院狮城华乐团将于二零零八年八月三日（星期日）下午五点正，假维多利亚音乐厅举办《鼓吹狮城》吹打音乐会。
狮城华乐团的吹打乐组向来活跃于新加坡华乐界，1988年举行了首场吹打乐专场《吹打乐演奏会》。
在乐团的艺术指导丁怀成先生和郑顺利先生的教导下，组员的演奏技巧和默契都达到一定的水平。
除了经常在音乐会中演绎不同风格的吹打曲目，吹打乐组也曾多次在全国音乐比赛获得合奏项目的冠军和全场总冠军荣衔。
在这场音乐会中，狮城华乐团吹打乐组将呈献经典的吹打乐曲如《将军令》、《大得胜》和《黄河之水天上来》。此外音乐会节目也将包括笛子齐奏《跑旱船》、唢呐独奏《喜庆胜利》、以及多首打击乐合奏乐曲《打春》、《鼓趣》和《Fanfare for Percussion》。

A City of Winds and Percussion
The Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts City Chinese Orchestra will be presenting a concert of wind and percussion music, entitled :A City of Winds and Percussion.
The concert will be held on 3rd August 2008 (Sat) at 5.00pm at the Victoria Concert Hall.
The woodwind and percussion ensemble of the City Chinese Orchestra has been actively involved in the local Chinese music scene since its establishment.
Under the tutelage of the orchestra’s artistic instructors Mr. Ding Huai Cheng and Mr. Tay Soon Dee, it has demonstrated technical expertise as well as strong musical rapport among its musicians, which has enabled it to garner top prizes in several local Chinese music competitions.
The repertoire for this concert features classic wind and percussion ensemble pieces such as Command of the General, The Resounding Victory and Waters of the Yellow River, as well as Dizi ensemble piece Rowing Boat on Land and Suona solo piece Jubilant Victory.
In addition, the percussion section will present several contemporary percussion ensemble pieces, including Beginning of Spring, Joy in Drumming and Fanfare for Percussion.
