friday's tpa concert was great...overall great

got to:
1) meet guo lao shi again since his return on syf presentation. my shi fu~ shall elaborate a little on him below.
2) got to meet my seniors which include yuwei, eugene, mervyn, yunxin, yanjie, weiqi, peini, primero, kenneth, zhishan, zhiwei and most of all, hsu imm~!!! gosh she can play daji lo!! last time yang qin de, after sometime of remoteness, now see her on stage performing daji~!! gosh so proud of her~XDDDDD
3) witness the proness of yunxin, yuwei performing ba ge...
4) revive my memories.....

flashbacked on my days of playing niu dou hu, chao yin, lao shu qu qin, canon in d....aiiii

days where my batch of djy raised the standards of dhscodjy...
days where the 4 of us strived to be the very best we can be...
days where guo lao shi placed so much trust and faith in us...
days where we knew we were one of the best...

now what am i?
are the days gone? have i reached my prime, or am i past my prime?



i watched tpa in awe...and i asked myself: can i be like them? or am i already like them? or will i never be like them?


i think my wrist ability is gone, after 11yrs immersed in making chinese music...
i'm just a worn out elite, like a retired player...

sec1
entered dhs under niche programme. stuck in dhsco. guo lao shi told me i had to learn everything from scratch again even though i had some basic knowledge. my djy life is joined by kiang gei, hong ming and chai hong. we learned theory and had some hands on. mastered practice 1 to 7 in a jiffy, learned to hit bian, and mastered gun he tao in sec1. joined national youth percussion festival where we had our first major performance. jixun made me realise that i do have some talent. ttk declared my group the winner of some competition, where we played a song we created ourselves from some notes that he selected. eg: 1766332371766323765. we use the notes to sui bian create a tune and play in our own style. and we won~

sec2
the year starts with learning of qin wang po zhen yue and tai yang. got invited to join da zu for a little mang chun. performed in dhsco annual. joined da zu. praced kuai gu duan and long teng. later part of the year we praced chao yin. guo lao shi gave me the yun luo part, where it changed my entire co life..found my calling...

sec3
prepared for syf, went to malaysia trip. performed dhsco annual. altough there were some hiccups dring some practices before gongyan, things went fine after that. thinking back about that day where he punished me, i think it would leave that scar in my heart for a very long time. guo lao shi left after our syf to futher his abilities. wang lao shi tookover some practices. guo lao shicame back to lead our syf presentation with tian wen and mang chun. and i got my hug from him after mang chun, on stage =) reporter came to school to interview us about co in singapore, and tada~ i got a cam recording of me and my beloved yun luo during mang chun. and guo lao shi made me solo....paisehh loh!! stood there like a retard...
passing down lead to me assisting ruthrox with $$$. praced niu dou hu.

sec4
i missed performing with co in 50th anniversary due to the heritage run and the finale piece of my composition. but surprisingly guo lao shi wasnt mad with me putting aside co for other events. missed some co practice to return to running.
after i stepped down. i still have some regrets....


nvm about that.
i dont think i can reach that evel of excellence again.

some songs that really got my heart moving:
hua mu lan, chang cheng sui xiang, tian wen, man jiang hong, mang chun, huang he, long teng, niu dou hu, tian shan, chao yin, chang di,
other songs include ren ding sheng tian, yao zu wu qu, yi meng shan, yue fei, tai yang, cha xiang, brazillian street dance, samba.....


i'm not at my best. anymore.
not with cco, not with nyco.
i'll nv hit my level of excellence anymore.
i'm not a rusted nail...
i'm a broken nail.


i function no more...

but thanks to guo lao shi, i shined for 4 yrs.
